Within this project I have done the following things;
Managed the group and given out tasks,
Completed concept art for the Jellyfish and the main character,
Created the first storyboard for the project,
Completed lighting for the first scene of the buildings,
Completed making the title sequence and credits within After Effects
Composted all scenes together within After Effects,
Completed creating the final video, recording the voice over, finding a music piece and editing it all together.

The evidence of this is place within both my Digital Environment blog and my Industry practises blog as well.

Character Expressions edited

I edited the facial expressions sheet and added in the curious face to the sheet, this is after talking with emma about what faces the character would pull.

Other Artist Blogs and sites

I have been looking at other artist blogs and site for a while, but thought this might be a nice time to post up some of the links. They really help me in seeing how to digitally paint and how the end result is always better then the first starting stages.

Kekai Kotaki - http://kekai.blogspot.com/   http://www.kekaiart.com/ I really like the painting feel to his work, it makes it look very arty, but the end result is amazing.

Feng Zhu - http://www.artbyfeng.com/tutorials.htm this site has free tutorials that are in video form, really nice to listen to as work at the same time.

Jason Chan - http://jasonchanart.blogspot.com/ - I really like the way he paints people within their environment.

On another topic, I have been watching Penny Arcade's Extra Credit videos and found them very interesting and easy to listen to and do work at the same time. They do both sides of the argument on the issues that they raise making it easier to make up your own opinion. Here is the link! enjoy!

Character Painting

Here is the basic black and white for the characters painting that I wanted to complete.

Now that the black and white is almost finished I can start painting over her in colour.

Catching up on my posts

These are the images for the character that I have completed.

Paintings for getting work experience

Here is a piece I was asked to complete to show that I could design for a science fiction type game.

I think compared to my last sheet of silhouettes this one is better, but I still need to work on how long it takes me to complete a sheet like this and also making it look better. Need to get more practice in.

Animated Cameras and Composting Scene 1 Together

I have animated the camera is scene 1 of the building section. After rendering out the scene I have taken the  .tif files into After Effects and created a fake camera effect over the top of the video. This gives the image a focus effect for video.

More Lighting Tests

Some more lighting tests, and this scene is almost finished. With a little knowledge from some friends in class I finished the lighting for this scene. The signs where done by Ben in the group, the street lights by Kamil and the textures by Antony in out group. I did the basic models on the left and right, the middle was done by Ashley and the round building by Antony in the group.

I think if i had some more time then I would change the colours of the buildings to a more metal colour and maybe add in more detail on the buildings. Also, I would create some of the textures myself, instead of just the floor texture.

Lighting Test

Finally getting most of the scenes together I thought I would test out some lighting. I also made the texture for the floor and wanted to see what this would look like within the scene.

Floor Texture

After applying the texture to the floor I went on to play with the glow effect on the tubes of a building.

I tried to play lights within the scene, but every time I to preview render the image, it had no lights in it. I made use that the enable default light was off, but this did not help at all.

After looking over everything I finally found out the problem.......I just needed to tick one box in mental ray attribute and the light appeared.

So now I can get on with actually doing the lights for the scene.
